Well, my friends, Day 2 was spent mostly in transit. I took the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto. In one of my previous posts, before I left for Japan, I mentioned getting a JR Pass - which I had to activate after I arrived. But thanks to Hagibis, my schedule didn't work out the way I had planned it to be.
Bullet Train to Kyoto
Driving to Kyoto would have taken over 6 hours, but riding the Shinkansen bullet train - it only took a little over 3 hours. And getting a JR Pass while still in the US saved me a little bit of money.
Kyoto's Arashiyama District.
As I mentioned in the video. I was really tired by the time I got to Arahiyama. I wanted to check out the Bamboo forest, as well as the Inari Shrine. But I underestimated the amount of walking I had to do.
Here are some photos I took en route to the Bamboo forest.

Not sure what this was, I talked about this in my video.
