Buongiorno Italia!
I was in Italy last week and had some free time to do some sketches while visiting the museums and other landmarks. I think what I love about Rome is that it’s basically one big open air museum. There are plenty to see without having to wait in lines with all of the other tourists.
Here are some of the sketches and portraits I made while I was in the eternal city.
Laocoön and His Sons, a sculpture from antiquity - believed to be from between 27 BC and 68 AD.
Check out more illustrations after the jump.
Emperors and generals - sketches of busts from the Vatican Museum.
Portraits of Italian men I met while in Rome.
An uncensored version of this is available on my “after dark” Twitter account @xiamcallenx
