I guess I'm a swimsuit designer now?
Happy Monday!
If you're following me on any of my social media accounts, you might have seen my latest endeavor - which I shared on my Instagram account on Friday. It is something that I am really proud of because I think that it’ll give a new exciting element to my gameplay. I am of course talking about the custom content I created for The Sims 4.
I just have to say that I have never been this proud of myself since I learned how to write HTML on MySpace.
A couple of hours of research, some reverse engineering, and digital painting, I’ve created my first 2 custom content using TS4 Studio for the “technical” part, and used both Photoshop and Procreate for the “artistic” part. There were a few trials and errors along the way, which I feel helped me understand how the artistic part affects the technical part and vise versa.
You might remember from one of the previous illustrations that I attempted to draw a pattern on a garment with folds and creases. It was challenging, but I think I was able to pull it off.
It's the same challenge with creating these - except there is the added element of the game being multidimensional and there is motion. It's a good thing that I started with something relatively simple.
My next creation will be a replica of my Maison Kitsune fox head sweater. For this, I will have to figure out how to render the texture of wool and not make the fox head look flat. Wish me luck.
Let me know what you think. Did you like it? Would you wear this in real life? What should I do next? Leave your comments below.
